This appears when the code is invalid or does not apply to the items in the cart.
Apply a discount code in the Cama cart

Shoppers can enter and apply a discount code directly in the Cama cart — from either the cart page or the cart drawer — without leaving the shopping experience. Turn on Show discount code in Theme settings, and shoppers can apply, review, and remove eligible codes before checkout.
Turn on Show discount code
Only a store admin can change this setting, and it affects both the cart page and the cart drawer. It is enabled by default, so you only need these steps if it was turned off.
In the Shopify theme editor, open Theme settings > Cart.
Turn on Show discount code.
Save your change.
When the setting is on, the discount-code field appears in the cart footer on the cart page and, when Cart type is set to Drawer, in the cart drawer on other pages. It is hidden whenever the cart is empty.
Where shoppers enter a code
The code field sits in the cart footer and is collapsed by default. Shoppers expand it when they have a code to apply.
Open the collapsed Discount code control in the cart footer.
Type the code in the Enter discount code field.
Select Apply, or press Enter in the field.
Applying a code updates the cart without a page reload. A blank field is not submitted; the field is simply refocused.
Review and remove an applied discount
Once a code applies, the code itself appears in the cart with a close control to remove it. When a discount reduces the total, the cart shows how much was saved.
Check that the applied code and the updated total appear in the cart footer.
To remove the discount, select the close control on the applied code.
Error messages
Two messages can appear when a code does not apply. Both clear the field and keep the cart unchanged.
Discount code cannot be applied to your cart
Shipping discounts are shown at checkout after adding an address
This appears when the code is a shipping-only discount, which the cart cannot apply until an address is added at checkout.
A code must be valid for the cart contents
A code only applies when it is eligible for the exact items in the cart. A code that is expired, not yet active, or limited to other products or over a minimum spend will not apply to the current cart contents.
