Add a shareable cart link to your store

The Cart share link block adds a control that shoppers use to copy or share a link to the current contents of their cart. Opening that link adds the same items and quantities to another visitor's cart, so a shopper can send their selections to someone else.
Add the block in the theme editor
Add the Cart share link block to the cart page or the cart drawer. It is available in the Main cart section and in the Cart footer (top) and Cart footer (bottom) groups; the cart drawer supports it in its footer groups as well.
In the theme editor, open the cart page or the cart drawer.
Add the Cart share link block to the Main cart section or a cart footer group.
Save the theme.
Preview the cart to confirm the control appears.
The standard cart footer already includes a share control whenever the cart has items, so the block is optional. Add it only when you want the control in a specific spot, such as a footer group.
What shoppers see when they copy a link
The control is a button labeled Copy cart link. On a browser that supports native sharing, the button is labeled Share cart and opens the browser's share sheet instead.
When a shopper selects Copy cart link, the link is copied to their clipboard and the button changes to Cart link copied for about two seconds, then returns to Copy cart link. The link encodes each cart line as a variant ID and quantity, so it recreates the same items and quantities.
How opening a shared link works
Opening a shared link adds the listed items and quantities to the visitor's existing cart; it does not replace what is already in the cart.
With a cart drawer, the updated cart renders in the drawer after the items are added. Without a drawer, the visitor is taken to the cart page. The share_cart parameter is removed from the URL after the items are added.
Unavailable or changed products
The theme shows no dedicated message when a shared product is unavailable or changed, and no custom error when a copy or share action fails. The block's settings are documented in the Cart share link block reference.
