The marquee theme-block renders a row of text or image items that scrolls horizontally across the screen, either as announcement-style text with a separator or as richer scrolling-content cards.

Settings

Set how the marquee moves and looks in both modes.

Setting	What it does
Colors	Applies a color scheme to the section (default scheme 4).
Speed	Scroll speed in seconds, from 1 to 30 (default 10).
Clones	Number of times each item is repeated in the row, from 1 to 20 (default 6).
Image height	Height of image items in rem, from 0.5 to 30 (default 4.5). Shown only in ordinary mode.
Scrolling direction	Right to left (default) or left to right.
Pause scroll on hover	Stops the marquee when the pointer is over it (default off).
Text separator	Character between items in ordinary mode (default `•`).
Uppercase	Renders text items in uppercase in ordinary mode (default on).
Font family	Chooses Font 1 or Font 2 for ordinary-mode text (default Font 2).
Size	Renders ordinary-mode text as Small or Big (default Small).
Items width (mobile)	Width of each scrolling-content item on mobile (default 22rem). Shown only in scrolling-content mode.
Items width (desktop)	Width of each scrolling-content item on desktop (default 36rem). Shown only in scrolling-content mode.
Custom class	Adds one or more CSS classes to the section, separated by spaces.
Enable page gutter	Insets the section within the page gutter (default off).
Hide section on desktop / mobile	Hides the section on that device (default off).
Padding top / bottom (mobile & desktop)	Space above and below the section on each device, from 0 to 34 (default 8).

The Scrolling content toggle switches the section between announcement text and the scrolling-content mode, in which items render as cards with desktop and mobile widths. The toggle itself is hidden in the theme editor; the mode is set by the section preset or a developer.

Blocks

One block type, Marquee item, builds each item in the row.

Setting	What it does
Item type	Text (default) or Image.
Text	Text shown for a text item (default `Announce something here`).
Image	Image shown for an image item.
Content alignment on desktop / mobile	Aligns item content on each device (default left).
Enable color scheme	Applies a color scheme to the item (default off); when enabled, choose the scheme (default scheme 1).

Can the marquee scroll in both directions?

Yes. The Scrolling direction setting switches the row between right to left (the default) and left to right.
